THORChain (RUNE) is a permissionless cross-chain liquidity platform that upholds interoperable blockchain exchange. It is a non-custodial liquidity marketplace for blockchains that enables users to exchange assets freely through multiple networks.

THORChain is created and developed using the Cosmos SDK and is backed by the Tendermint consent mechanism. It keeps the network safe from attacks through an innovative BT proof-of-stake i.e PoS system that detects a large number of validators work combining to suggest and finalize blocks of transactions.



However, THORChain’s smart contracts have been reviewed by various third-party security firms, including one by Certik that found no vulnerabilities.
